Portabalooza is about bringing portable gaming to the spotlight- a blog centered around those video games which you can play- and hold- with your hands. In an era of healthy competition and the polygoniest techologies, it’s really an exciting time for handheld gaming fans.

I’m Chris, or if you want to be more specific, JustChris. I recently graduated from college in December and in the little time I put aside to play video games, they’re usually of the portable kind. Ironically I tend to read more about video games than actually play them. I like to play portable games mostly because of their convenience. With the busy college schedule there’s not much time to go out and buy every single hit for the Gamecube or PS2, and the backlog gets even worse with the newer generation of systems. So I look to my PSP (and previously, the Nintendo DS) for more pick-up-and-go immediate gaming. The reason why I don’t play the DS now is because it’s been sold (technically it was property of my brother). Someday I will get a new DS and have the portable harmony complete once again.
